Armada Music

Armada Music was founded in June, 2003 by Armin van Buuren, Maykel Piron and David Lewis, whose names stand for ‘ArMaDa’. Throughout the years, the record company has brought countless quality releases to the world within the wide spectrum of electronic dance music. Outstanding releases in trance, house, progressive, techno, deep house, and even in the pop genre have made Armada Music a label that stands out, and one that has stood the test of time. From 2009-2013, the Dutch label was awarded the ‘Best Global Dance Label’ title from the International Dance Music Awards in Miami. Working with and managing some of the biggest names in the dance music industry, Armada is home to (among others) Dash Berlin, W&W, Aly & Fila, Cosmic Gate, and of course Armin van Buuren himself. Keinemusik is not the type of record label as you know it. When putting out a record, the guys will wrap it up personally, before it ends up in the stores or on your turntable. Keinemusik is a DIY-operation. Not, because it makes that imposing impression or because they like to wallow in nostalgia, just because it feels right. Keinemusik is a network with the label as the pulse pumping centre. Everything happening there gets onto Keinemusik.com on time and bilingual. But above all, Keinemusik is the spirit that moves the collective behind the imprint. The spirit to find the own agenda and let nobody get in the way. The spirit of refining House and Techno off the beaten track. Be it within their own tracks, within productions of other sorts or DJ-sets. The spirit of recall value within record- and flyer-artworks and everything intermediate in word and image surrounding releases and parties. Keinemusik has been around since 2009. It has been naming an existing friendship and linked interests of six members – five DJs and one graphic designer and painter. Five releases per year have been released ever since, solely laid down by members of the crew. The headquarter can be found in Stattbad Wedding since 2012 – undoubtedly the best place in Berlin to translate the vibe of the city into beats. If there’s a credo, it would be: you don’t necessarily need to be overly serious to be taken seriously. Welcome to the party, brothers and sisters.

Up the Stuss

Up The Stuss is a house music label founded by Chris Stussy in 2020, born on a dancefloor in Sydney, Australia. The name originated from fans chanting "up the stuss" at his sets and became a hashtag on the Identification of Music Facebook group. Dedicated to releasing high-quality, limited-edition 12-inch vinyl pressings alongside digital, UTS has become a vital platform for cutting-edge electronic music. The label's debut release from Fabe set the tone for groovy, timeless electronic sounds, and releases from East End Dubs, Janeret, and Kolter quickly became top-sellers and instant record bag mainstays. Now celebrating five years, UTS continues to champion a roster of exceptional talent across deep house, minimal, and tech house. The label also hosts the USS event series, which launched with a sold-out daytime show at London's Roundhouse in February 2025, with further events planned at Pacha Ibiza and beyond.

Salted Music

Salted Music is an independent record label based in San Francisco, California, founded by Miguel Migs in 2004. Conceived as a creative outlet for releasing forward-thinking, soul-based electronic music that is not limited in tempo, the label focuses on deep, soulful, dubby, and nu disco styles. The initial 18 months of Salted's existence were strictly a 12-inch vinyl label directed towards dancefloor-oriented tracks. Once recognized in the dance community as a source for reliable grooves, the label broadened its reach with the release of the first compilation Get Salted: Volume One in 2005. Not just instituted for Migs' own creations, Salted Music is a vehicle for upcoming and well-known artists who catch his ear. The roster features vocalists Lisa Shaw and Aya, producer Julius Papp, and collaborators from across the soulful house spectrum. In 2009, Salted Music won the Independent Music Awards Vox Pop vote for Best Indie Label Site. The label continues to champion a sophisticated melting pot of sound informed by electronic elements, rock, jazz, reggae, and soul with an emphasis on high-quality songwriting and equally high production values.

Strictly Rhythm

Strictly Rhythm Records is house music. Since 1989 the legendary New York label not only put out records by almost every name in the game, but it also defined house music throughout the 1990s with Erick Morillo, Todd Terry, Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, Armand Van Helden, DJ Pierre, Roger Sanchez, Josh Wink, Ultra Naté and Barbara Tucker. As well as keeping the underground stoked with a steady supply of club grooves, the label also delivered a stream of crossover hits with Reel 2 Real’s “I Like To Move It”, Ultra Naté’s “Free”, Wamdue Project’s “King Of My Castle” and Wink’s “Higher State Of Consciousness”. Relaunched in 2007 after a five year break following a short-lived venture with Warner Music, Strictly Rhythm did what no dance label had ever done: successfully re-launch itself. The label made many of its classic releases available on digital download for the first time and signed new productions from the likes of Quentin Harris, Osunlade, Bingo Players Vs Chocolate Puma, Dennis Ferrer, Michel Cleis, Dirty South and Bob Sinclar. Three years later and now fully re-established, Strictly Rhythm opened a new London office in November 2010. Still an innovator, the label that invented the 12” white label and put out the first ever commercially released DJ Mix CD in 1993 (The Tony Humphries Strictly Rhythm Mix) is now enabling both new and established talent through its joint venture label set-up, the Strictly Rhythm Music Group. The Strictly Rhythm Music Group currently has 20 labels with partners in the US, UK, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Australia and Ireland. Recent signings include Tristan Garner (Xtra Life), Doman & Gooding (Superficial) and Jupiter Ace (Big Vision). Strictly Rhythm has offices in New York, London, Rome and Berlin.

Flamingo Recordings
