2. Your Responsibilities
When uploading content to TogetherWeRise, you represent and warrant that:
- You are the original creator of the content, OR
- You have obtained all necessary licenses and permissions
- Your content does not infringe any third-party copyrights
- You have cleared all samples, loops, and third-party elements
- You have the right to authorize the uses described in our Terms
3. Acceptable Content
Permitted
- Original compositions you created
- Tracks with properly licensed samples
- Covers with mechanical licenses
- Remixes with permission
- Royalty-free elements
Not Permitted
- Unlicensed samples or loops
- Direct copies of others' work
- Unauthorized remixes
- AI-generated content from copyrighted sources
- Content you don't have rights to
4. How We Protect Copyright
TogetherWeRise employs multiple layers of protection:
Audio Fingerprinting
We use Chromaprint technology to create acoustic fingerprints of uploaded content. These fingerprints are checked against the AcoustID database of known recordings before content is published.
User Attestation
Users must confirm they have rights to all uploaded content. This creates a record of authorization and helps establish good faith.
Community Reporting
Our community can flag potentially infringing content for review. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
Human Review
Flagged content and automated matches are reviewed by trained moderators to ensure accurate decisions.
5. Reporting Infringement
If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed on TogetherWeRise:
- File a formal DMCA takedown notice (see our DMCA Policy)
- Use the "Report" button on any content for quicker review

We respond to all reports within 24 hours and process valid DMCA notices promptly.
6. Consequences of Infringement
Strike Policy

Strikes can be appealed within 14 days. Counter-notifications are processed according to DMCA procedures.
7. Fair Use Considerations
We recognize that some uses of copyrighted material may be protected under fair use or fair dealing doctrines. Factors we consider include:
- Purpose and character of the use
- Nature of the copyrighted work
- Amount and substantiality of the portion used

8. License You Grant Us
By uploading content, you grant TogetherWeRise a limited, non-exclusive license to:
- Store and process your content on our servers
- Share your submissions with selected curators for review
- Create audio fingerprints for copyright protection
- Display your content to curators you select
You retain full ownership of your content. We do not claim any ownership rights to your music.
